We landed in Manchester for a change, anything to avoid Heathrow really. It was pretty easy going except the airport doesn't have a Duty Free Department. Oh well, that saved me a bit of money.
Off to get the hire car....even that went pretty well. The wheels have got to fall off sooner or later.
And we're on the road......
A drive to The Lake District for a night in a relaxed hotel called The Borrowdale Gates Hotel. It's in Grange, Borrowdale and is set in the most scenic countryside. This is the view from our window.
What's that you say? Looks like snow on the mountains.......Yep, check out the dashboard.
I have re-ignited my love for English sheeps. They come in all shapes and sizes and you will see many of them feature in coming posts. Sorry can't help my self. These fellows were a little bit different with their long furry coats and they produce Baa Baa Black Sheeps.
This Mama above had twins and she liked to keep them in line, so whenever they stood up on their little black legs, she would boof them over, rolly polly style, until they were flat on their back and stationary. That way she could keep an eye on them.
It was a beautiful drive and a great stay
