Trusty Steed

It's always a lottery as to what sort of car one gets when hiring. At Heathrow you get to choose from whatever is in the parking lot, but not so at Manchester airport. Unless of course you are me. With the size of our suitcases, really need to do something about that, and with all the rubbish we accumulate, we need a larger car than I'm prepared to pay for. Last time we had a Kia Sportage which was great but this time the choice is not so grand. She tried to upsell me to a Volvo SUV, very nice, and it was only going to cost me an extra ***pounds. I don't think so.

We ended up with this Vauxhall Mokka. It's a bit small in the boot department, can't fit 2 cases in, but generally it's ok. I wouldn't buy one but seeing I've only got it for 11 days, I won't whinge too much. It moves along nicely, easy gearbox but being petrol driven it's not so economical.
