Wild Life

A walk further along the island revealed some seals sunning themselves on the rocks. The islanders plead with the tourists not to approach the seals as they scare easily and jump back into the water. They apparently use so much energy doing this , it is to be dissuaded.

On our walk to the restaurant we saw a bird. Not sure of it's exact title, could be a guinea fowl or could be a pheasant. Either way it runs extremely fast.

We took a ferry to the Isle of Jura which is north of Islay, a short ferry ride of 7 mins. This island is inhabited by few people only 200 and they are well and  truly outnumbered by deer who run wild and free.
